Applications:
For routine exterior washing use Aircraft Cleaner. Using a pressure washer, apply solution at a minimum temperature of 70C, but for optimal results use at 110C (do not exceed 130C). Apply product from bottom to top and use nylon mop to scrub where necessary. Rinse from top to bottom. Always pre-spot exterior leading edge surfaces such as cowlings, nose, windshield, wing edges, exhaust farings and landing gear boxes with neat solution of Aircraft Cleaner. Let the solution dwell for 3-5 minutes before proceeding with the all over washing process. Best cleaning results are achieved with repeated use & will help in the prevention of oxidisation.
We recommend the use of Aircraft Cleaner for cleaning all non-ferrous metal surfaces ad parts.However, wherever ferrous metal, rubber and/or vinyl are used such as conveyor belts and wheel assemblies other BIOBASED EUROPE products may be used for the most cost effective and optimal cleaning solutions. The most typical heavy duty soils are inert carbon black ‘soot’, which can easily be removed with Aircraft Cleaner™ or Multi Purpose Cleaner (MPC), but will require dwell time and agitation. With just a few core products the full scope of aircraft cleaning can be accomplished safely and economically.

INTRODUCTION
Dairy cleaning is focused upon the efficient and effective release of proteins, mucous, calcium (milk stone) and other milk wastes, notably milk tar and organic residues. With the exception of milk stone, SC-1000™ Aqueous Cleaner, which is based upon our proven micelle technology, is ideal for long term maintenance of all types of CIP units including process lines, valves, precipitators, chilling equipment, heated vessels, centrifugal separators, presses, settling tanks and other related equipment. We have specially developed a SAFE CARE® Beer Line Cleaner which is excellent for use in all CIP and line cleaning. This product has very similar performance and application to our SC-1000™ Aqueous Cleaner and is specifically designed for dairy line cleaning.
SC-1000™ Aqueous Cleaner will minimise foaming while efficiently releasing all long chain hydrocarbon soils such as fats, greases, oils, proteins, lipids and sugars. SC-1000™ Aqueous Cleaner is a non-ionic, high triglyceride, oleo surfactant that is naturally antioxidant and will not promote free radical decay of elastometric materials, metals or painted surfaces. Where SC-1000™ Aqueous Cleaner is used in conformance with regular routine cleaning cycles, calcium precipitate or milk stone will not form on process surfaces. While an acid may be necessary initially to remove accumulated milk stone, continued use of SC-1000™Aqueous Cleaner alone will prevent further accumulation in the future. SC-1000™Aqueous Cleaner has a cloud point of 54¨H yet it may be heated to an excess of 280¨H without damage to the surfactant system in a closed aqueous solution. Repeated freeze/thaw/boiling cycles will not harm SC-1000™ Aqueous Cleaner.
DILUTIONS
• Milk processing lines, cold storage tanks, milking equipment, teat cups: 1:100 cleaningwater should be at a minimum of 70F, but a temperature of 90F - 100F will provide optimalresults. The cleaning cycle should last for 20 minutes followed by a warm water rinse.
• Floors: 1:25 to remove feces, urine, feed and milk waste. Use a warm water pre-rinse, warm water cleaning solution, followed by warm water post rinse. Some scrubbing may be necessary for heavy soils, however with 10 minutes of dwell time the scrubbing effort will be reduced.
• Milk vehicle tanks and exteriors: 1:100 warm water rinse, then apply solution and allow 20 minutes of dwell time followed by a clean water rinse. some light scrubbing with a nylon brush mop may be needed for heavy soil.
• Loading docks: 1:4 solution let dwell for 20 minutes then warm water rinse; use squeegees or a warm air dryer, if necessary.
• Udder hygiene: 1:20 solution will clean typical dairy soils, including dirt and feces, from the teats. A more concentrated 1:10 solution may be necessary for heavy soils.
Rinsing is not necessary, but follow recommended practices.

BIOBASED cleaners and degreasers are colloidal solutions that contain non-ionic surfactants. The result is a unique hydrocarbon release agent that can tolerate tremendous soil load. The powerful micelle cleaning action will cause long chain hydrocarbons soils including fats, greases, oils and sugars to repel from the surface so that it can be rinsed away with water, without damaging or reacting with the cleaning surface.

As a mid-ship cleaner SC-1000™ is very effective as a hand wiping material in cleaning the engine room where fuel oil, smoke, etc. are a problem. Mix 1 part SC-1000™ to 60 parts water and wipe down the area with a wet cloth. No rinsing or further wiping is necessary.
SC-1000™ is excellent for swabbing down decks and bulkheads. It will not damage paint or wooden surfaces, and helps prevent rust on exposed surfaces. This mixture should be 1 part SC-1000™ to 40 parts water.Small amounts of cleaner may be introduced into the ship’s ventilation system by means of an atomising spray to dispel foul air or odours. A mixture of 1 part SC-1000™ to 100 parts water will effectively remove stack gases.
A concentration of 1 part SC-1000™ to 20 parts water very effectively cleans mildew on lines, canopy, sails, rigging, upholstery, keel, etc. We also have special formulations for removing oil from bilges, decks, hulls, engine and engine cowling; as well as salt water and saltwater spots from windshields, decks and hull.
SC-1000™ is completely safe to use throughout the vessel because it has no ingredients to disturb the grain of fine woods, no chlorides to bleach painted surfaces, no detergents to deteriorate plastics and fibreglass and no petroleum solvents to warp plastics or fibreglass materials.SC-1000™ works well when diluted with fresh or salt water and is one of the few cleaning solutions which may be used in any body of water where it is unlikely to harm marine aquaculture, flora or fauna and does not alter marine eco-systems. In addition, SC-1000™ contains no nitrates, sulphates, phosphates, sulfonates, caustics or chlorides.

For removal of crude oil and other petroleum products from the holds of tankers, SC-1000™ should be sprayed into the holds by low volume, high pressure pumps through the use of revolving spinner heads which can be lowered into the hold. This type of operation suggests the use of a 5 degree Vee-Jet nozzle. The process of spraying should commence as soon as possible after the ship is empty, so as to prevent the formation of volatile gases from the remaining crude oil or other petroleum residue. Continue the pumping process until SC-1000™ has covered the entire surface. For best results this solution should be allowed to set for about one hour, after which the Butterworth system should be used for 30 to 45 minutes.
SC-1000™ solution can be left on the interior of the holds for periods of time longer than 1 hour with no problem. The initial hour is simply recommended to give it time to break down the crude oil or similar petroleum products. Longer periods will not decrease its efficiency, since complete evaporation will not occur. Accordingly, the results will be the same if Butterworthing is delayed 24 hours, as if it were done in sequence. After this procedure has been completed, the hold should be clean and gas free. If any gases do remain, however, spray the interior of the hold with a mixture of 1 part SC-1000™ to 20 parts water through the revolving spinner-heads. This will leave the tank gas free.Cleaning engine rooms with a mixture of 1 part SC-1000™ to 5 to 10 parts water will solubilise grease and act as a fire preventative as the product is non-flammable and non-explosive.
Refrigerated containers may be cleaned with a solution of 1 part SC-1000™ to 10 to 20 parts (or greater for lighter soil) water. Cleaning with SC-1000™ will help to eliminate and control odours. Successive cleaning should be easier once all the soil has been removed.
Since SC-1000™ is non-fuming, enclosed areas such as engine rooms, holds and ship interiors will not be subject to additional gases and fumes, making cleaning less hazardous to personnel. No special gloves, clothing, masks or other safety gear is required when cleaning with SC-1000™.

Hull Cleaning
As with other grossly soiled surfaces, begin by scraping off soils thicker than 1/16” and then spray all over from bottom to top with warm water solution of 10 to 20% solution of SC-1000™. Let stand for 10 to 20 minutes, then scrub surface as necessary to loosen remaining soils (especially algae). Finally, rinse thoroughly with warm water (85F+) from top to bottom as necessary.
SAFE CARE® products can not remove calcites or barnacle derived enzyme adhesives. These highly acidic natural adhesives are virtually impossible
to remove because they actually decompose the metal, stone glass or any other surface they attach to. Removal of these fouling bodies requires highly corrosive acids. SC-1000™, SC-Aircraft & Metal Cleaner™ and SC-Supersolve™ are all used by the US Navy for bilge cleaning, engine parts cleaning, aircraft cleaning and more.
